Still continuing along the lines of conversation: Here's an interview that Bill Moyers conducted with Jon Stewart. The funny man takes time away from satire to talk about what he does and why. Clearly Moyers has a lot of respect for the guy.
The Cluetrain Manifesto got the conversation going. Now companies are tapping in. I can see the value in Dell's Ideastorm--a community participation forum that came to life after Dell was lambasted in the blogosphere by Jeff Jarvis in his Dell Hell rants. On the flip side is StudioDell--another corporate effort to engage the customer base, this one enabling enthusiasts to upload their Dell video stories. Not surprisingly, not much happening on that front.
And just read that Delta Air Lines has recently jumped on the bandwagon, set to launch a new online community. Trying to imagine that conversation. Peanuts versus pretzels?
At some point companies need to figure out just what kind of conversations will yield more than just talk.
